NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's basketball returns to game action vs. Valparaiso Saturday.

Cade Tyson has scored 89 points over his last four games – including 22 points Wednesday as Belmont defeated Northern Iowa to open Missouri Valley Conference play.

Tyson, a Preseason All-MVC selection, scored a career-high 29 points vs. Georgia State.
Ja'Kobi Gillespie ranks among league leaders in scoring, assists and leads the MVC in steals. He tied the Curb Event Center record with seven steals vs. Berry.

Gillespie had 15 points, six assists and zero turnovers in last season's victory at Valparaiso.
Keishawn Davidson had 14 points at Northern Iowa. He ranks 10th in career assists (526) among active players NCAA Division I players.

This marks the 14th meeting between Belmont and Valparaiso. Belmont won both meetings last season in its inaugural MVC season; 76-64 in Nashville and 74-59 in Valparaiso.
