ST. LOUIS – Following a remarkable week of play, Belmont University women's basketball's
Kilyn McGuff has been named Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week as announced by the league office Monday afternoon. The player of the week award is McGuff's first of her career.

Averaging 20 points on 65.2 percent (15-of-23) shooting and 9.0 rebounds, McGuff led the Bruins to their first 2-0 week of the season. The junior guard had strong performances at Troy last Wednesday evening and Sunday afternoon versus Middle Tennessee. In Belmont's 72-68 win at Troy, McGuff recorded her first double-double with a game-high tying 18 points and a career-best 10 rebounds. She went 8-for-12 from the field and added a steal.

On Sunday, the Columbus, Ohio (Bishop Watterson HS), native spearheaded a dazzling three-point display by the Bruins with 4-for-5 shooting from outside. Scoring a season-best 22 points on 7-for-11 shooting, McGuff went 4-for-4 at the free-throw line and collected a game-high tying eight boards. She also dished out a pair of assists in Belmont's 71-57 victory over the visiting Lady Raiders.

Jailyn Banks as Bruins who have been recognized by the Valley this season. Banks began her collegiate career with consecutive MVC Freshman of the Week accolades.

Riding a three-game winning streak, Belmont hosts fellow Belmont Boulevard residence Lipscomb Wednesday in the 77th Battle of the Boulevard. Tipoff of the annual rival game is set for 5 p.m. from the Curb Event Center. The midweek home matchup will be broadcast on
ESPN+.
