Maci Cunconan followed with a single to left to put two runners on in the second. A double from Briyana Wright scored two for the Bisons, in an attempt to take three bases Wright was called out at third on a cutoff from Kristen Green, to Hughes, to Emily Cockrill.Â
Hughes and Abi Ledbetter started off the second with two on after both got hit by a pitch. Cunningham produced the first run of the day for the Bruins to score Hughes on a sacrifice fly.Â
Belmont posted a seven run inning in the third on six hits to blast past the Bisons. Barnes again sent out a lead off single to start the Bruins in the third. Green followed with a single of her own to advance Indy Cockrill who pinch ran for Barnes. Emily Cockrill posted another game winning run on a two RBI double to secure the lead.
