Head Coach Kelsey Cameron
"Today wasn't our best day," said Head Coach
Kelsey Cameron after today's loss. "I thought Indiana State had a great game plan and were gritty and tough to play against. We didn't battle well and had a tough time settling into the way we wanted to play. We came out and played better and were more composed in the second half. The difference today ultimately came down to two set pieces."
Despite the loss, Belmont secured the fourth seed in the MVC Championship. The Bruins will host a first round and quarterfinal match at E.S. Rose Park.
"I thought today was a good lesson as we head into the conference tournament as every game is win or go home," said Cameron. "We will learn but also move on quickly to prepare for our next match. We have had a great season and we need to continue playing with the confidence and composure that earned us the fourth seed."
