NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's basketball head coach
Casey Alexander announced Tuesday the signing of Brody Peebles to a national letter of intent to play basketball for the Bruins, starting in the fall of 2024.

Peebles, a 6-2 guard from Hartselle, Alabama, made 101 game appearances over the previous three seasons at Liberty.
"We are excited to welcome Brody to Belmont," Alexander said. "We have loved his game for years. Brody has played at a high-level and contributed to a winning program at Liberty. His experience, toughness, shooting ability and leadership will be valued qualities on this year's team."

This past season, Peebles averaged 10.7 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game for the Flames. The shooting guard led CUSA in valuing the basketball (best offensive turnover rate) per Ken Pomeroy and he ranked among league leaders in points per 40 minutes (20.1).

19 of his 41 career double figure scoring games came during his junior season.

Peebles, part of 67 victories, has 115 career 3-point field goals on 38 percent shooting from behind the arc.
Belmont University men's basketball has been a postseason fixture the last two decades, including nine berths to the NCAA Tournament. The Bruins have won 20 conference championships since 2006 - third-most nationally over that span (Gonzaga, Kansas).
