NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont women's soccer and head coach
Kelsey Cameron announced the addition of graduate transfer Sydney Jones Tuesday morning.
A 5-foot-9-inch goalkeeper, Jones spent the last four seasons with Lipscomb University. A native of Denver, Colorado, Jones bolsters the incoming 2024 signing class featuring eight freshmen.
Jones appeared in eight matches for the Bisons, posted a 3-0 record, and totaled over 300 minutes in goal. During the 2022 season, Jones started in two games posting a 2-0 record with six saves. The goalkeeper also recorded two shutouts. Jones recorded a career-high four saves against Tennessee Tech on Aug. 21.
Prior to Lipscomb, Jones attended Valor Christian High School. Her hobbies include drinking coffee, weightlifting, outdoor activities and reading books. Jones will pursue a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling.
