CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Belmont women's golf team is ranked among the top-five in the nation when it comes to team grade point average (GPA) as the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced its All-Scholar Team GPA Awards on Tuesday.
The Bruins ranked #5 among all Division I programs with a team GPA of 3.882. This marks the second straight year that Belmont has been honored by the WGCA for having a team GPA among the top-25 in the nation, earning the #19 spot in 2022-23.
Belmont is one of three Missouri Valley Conference teams on the list (Bradley, Illinois State) and are among three Midstate programs in the top-25 (Austin Peay, Vanderbilt).
Last month, five Bruins were named to the WGCA All-American Scholars list: recent graduates
Ryan Bender,
Briana Gabe,
Delia Gibbs, rising senior
Eva Graham, and rising junior
Chloe Tarkany.
Not only was Belmont successful in the classroom last year, they flourished on the links as well. During the 2023-24 season, the team won one team title, posted six top-five finishes in 10 events, and had one All-Conference honoree,
Delia Gibbs.
