Women’s Soccer Prepares for Middle Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University women's soccer (0-1) travels to Middle Tennessee for their first road match of the 2024 regular season.
 
Kickoff is set for 16 p.m. CT from Dean A. Hayes Track & Soccer Stadium. The match will be available on ESPN+.
 
What's Bruin

• Kennedy Wise's lone shot in Thursday's season opener resulted in her first goal and the third of her career.
• Laken Whittington is fresh off a career-high 76-minute performance against Lindenwood. The sophomore forward notched her first career point with an assist on Wise's goal.
• Senior captain Allison Brockelman led the Bruins with 79 minutes of action in the season opener against Lindenwood.
• Nine of Belmont's 11 newcomers saw action in the season opener. Freshman Reagan Ross and sophomore transfer Kennedy Bernsen made their Belmont debuts in the starting lineup. Ross led the team with two shots on goal.

About the Blue Raiders

• The Blue Raiders will open their 2024 season on Sunday against Belmont. The Blue Raiders had their original season opener against Alcorn State rescheduled for Sept. 22.
• Junior midfielder Manon Lebargy was named to the Conference USA Preseason All-Conference team; her first career preseason conference honor. Lebargy was named to the 2023 All-Conference Second Team and All-Academic Team. She led the team in goals (8) and points (19) last season.
• The Blue Raiders were picked seventh in the C-USA Preseason Poll.

• Belmont is 6-11-2 all-time against MTSU.
• The Blue Raiders defeated the Bruins 3-1 in 2023. Leah Firsdon scored for Belmont in the 26th minute.
