MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - - Belmont University women's soccer (1-1) defeated Middle Tennessee (0-1), 2-1, Sunday night at Dean A. Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium.

Kaitlyn Elliott both scored their first career goal in the second half to lead Belmont's comeback effort on the road.
Turning Point
- Tied 1-1 in the 69th minute, Olivia Walker delivered a beautiful cross into the box that Kaitlyn Elliott knocked in for the eventual game-winning goal.

- Leah Firsdon assisted Ross on her goal in the 60th minute. Firsdon delivered a cross from the near corner into the box to a soaring Ross, who headed the ball in.
- Goalkeeper Amanda Waggoner notched her first career win. The redshirt sophomore made a career-high five saves.
- Belmont's last comeback victory was Sept. 22, 2022, at Murray State.
- Sunday night was the first win over Middle Tennessee since Aug. 18, 2017.
