Peebles, Walker Named to MVC Specialty Teams

Men's Basketball Co-Captains Honored

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's basketball student-athletes Brody Peebles and Isaiah Walker were selected for the 2025 Missouri Valley Conference specialty teams for men's basketball.
 
Peebles was named to the All-Bench Team while Walker was named to the Most-Improved Team.
 
Peebles had 13 of his team-high 54 double figure scoring games this season – including six consecutive double figure scoring games in February.
 
His conventional 3-point play with 1:23 left helped Belmont to victory at Bradley Feb. 5.
 
The Hartselle, Alabama native shot 43 percent from 3-point distance in league games and scored a career-high 26 points vs. Furman Nov. 8.
 
Walker has posted 21 double figure scoring games this season – after four double figure scoring games his first two seasons - with massive jumps in virtually every statistical category.
 
The Wyoming, Ohio native leads Belmont in offensive rebounds, ranks second in steals, and third in field goals, assists, defensive rebounds, and free throws.
 
In fact, the 6-5 guard leads the MVC in steals since Feb. 1.
 
Belmont (21-10, 13-7 MVC) returns to game action Friday in the MVC Tournament.

Belmont University men's basketball has been a postseason fixture for the last two decades, including nine berths to the NCAA Tournament. The Bruins have won 20 conference championships since 2006 - third-most nationally over that span (behind Gonzaga and Kansas). Belmont has won 20 or more games in 15 consecutive seasons (alongside Gonzaga and Oregon, Kansas can join) and 19 or more games in 20 consecutive seasons (alongside Gonzaga, Kansas, and San Diego State). Belmont is among select programs with two or more first-round selections in the NBA Draft over the last five years (Ben Sheppard, Dylan Windler). Belmont University men's basketball boasts an NCAA-leading 19 Academic All-America selections since 2001 and is the only NCAA Division I program to make the NCAA Academic Progress Rate (APR) Honor Roll every year of its existence. Belmont is the only NCAA Division I institution in America whose men's and women's basketball programs have won 20 or more games in nine consecutive seasons.
