Bryce Haase Named Director of Strategy & Analytics

Virginia Native Elevated From Graduate Assistant

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's basketball head coach Casey Alexander announced Wednesday the hire of Bryce Haase as director of strategy & analytics within the Bruin program.
 
Haase will focus on data analytics, advanced stats, and video breakdown through Synergy Sports, as well as player development, game preparation, performance assessment, and other coaching staff needs.

"Bryce has rare gifts when it comes to data analytics," Alexander said. "His insight and contributions have impacted winning for our program. We look forward to having Bryce in this expanded role."

The Virginia native spent the previous two seasons as a graduate assistant for the Bruins, helping Belmont win 42 games, post its best finish in the Missouri Valley Conference, and extend the program's streak of consecutive 20-plus win seasons to 15.
 
Belmont went 10-4 in games decided by two possessions or fewer last season. The Bruins also ranked 39th nationally in effective field goal percentage.
 
Haase served as a scouting and analytics manager at the University of Massachusetts as he completed his undergraduate studies.
 
Beyond supporting the UMass basketball program, Haase was a teaching assisting in the Isenberg School of Management.
 
Haase earned his dual bachelor's degree in sport management and operations & information management with honors.
 
He completed his master's degree in sport administration from Belmont in May 2025.

Belmont University men's basketball has been a postseason fixture for the last two decades, including nine berths to the NCAA Tournament. The Bruins have won 20 conference championships since 2006 - third-most nationally over that span (behind Gonzaga and Kansas). Belmont has won 20 or more games in 15 consecutive seasons (alongside Gonzaga, Kansas, and Oregon) and 19 or more games in 20 consecutive seasons (alongside Gonzaga, Kansas, and San Diego State). Belmont is among select programs with two or more first-round selections in the NBA Draft over the last five years (Ben Sheppard, Dylan Windler). Belmont University men's basketball boasts an NCAA-leading 19 Academic All-America selections since 2001 and is the only NCAA Division I program to make the NCAA Academic Progress Rate (APR) Honor Roll every year of its existence. Belmont is the only NCAA Division I institution in America whose men's and women's basketball programs have won 20 or more games in nine consecutive seasons.
