NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University Athletics has been named 2024-25
Community Service National Champion, Helper Helper announced following the spring semester.
Helper Helper provides software and technology service solutions for colleges, universities, non-profits, and businesses to track community service hours across an organization.
Â
Belmont University Athletics led the nation with 7,755 community service hours during the 2024-25 academic year.
Â
For perspective, that total was over 2,000 more community service hours than the average school ranked in the Top 10 nationally – and Belmont is comprised of roughly half the number of student-athletes of comparable schools in the Helper Helper national rankings.
Â
"Congratulations to our Belmont student-athletes – as well as Director of Student-Athlete Formation
Dr. Ryan Neises and his staff – on this remarkable accomplishment," said Belmont Vice President/Director of Athletics
Scott Corley. "To lead the nation in community service hours, while also achieving national prominence on the field of play and in the classroom embodies our university SOUL framework to foster whole-person growth and development."
Â
Belmont had five teams rank within the Top 3 nationally of their respective sports:
Â
- Belmont Softball ranked No. 1 among all college softball programs
- Belmont Volleyball ranked No. 1 among all college volleyball programs
- Belmont Women's Cross Country and Track & Field ranked No. 3 among all college cross country and track & field programs
- Belmont Men's Soccer ranked No. 3 among all college men's soccer programs
- Belmont Men's Tennis ranked No. 3 among all college men's tennis programs
Â
Belmont Softball won the 2025 Helper Helper National Team Service Challenge which ranked the top 64 teams across all divisions and sports, placing them into a bracket where teams compete. The winner of each matchup was determined by the service done by those teams throughout the academic year, with an emphasis on service completed during the months of March and April.
Â
Softball and men's tennis also won conference championships on the field of play and competed in their respective NCAA Championships.
Â
Additionally, Belmont Athletics is a finalist for the 2025 National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Fiesta Bowl Community Service Award – recognizing institutions making the greatest community impact over the past academic year. The winner will be announced June 10 at the NACDA & Affiliates Convention in Orlando, Florida.
