GREENWOOD, Ind. – For the first time in program history, four Belmont University women's tennis student-athletes have been named Academic All-District
® as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC). Seniors
Aly Getty and
Viktoria Kliimand, sophomore
Hana Sokolovic and senior
Anastasiya Zholdakova have all earned 2025 CSC Academic All-District
® honors for their exceptional work in the classroom.
As a team, the Bruins posted a remarkable 3.95 grade point average for the 2024-25 academic year, which represents the highest GPA of any Belmont Athletics program.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District
® selection in tennis, a student-athlete must hold at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale), must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, and must have been in the team's lineup for at least 70 percent of the squad's dual matches during the spring season. Schools are limited to four nominations in women's tennis.
Both Getty and Zholdakova graduated with their bachelor's degree in May and Getty and Sokolovic were members of this year's Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete Teams. A Nashville native, Getty secured a spot on the MVC Scholar-Athlete First Team, while Zagreb, Croatia, native Sokolovic was named to the second team.
Kliimand, a native of Tartu, Estonia, was also tabbed CSC Academic All-District
® in the spring of 2024. A native of Kyiv, Ukraine, Zholdakova won Belmont's 2024-25
Betty Wiseman Inspiration Award, which is given to a graduating senior who brings out the best in others and epitomizes the qualities of leadership, perseverance and selflessness.
Receiving her degree in interior design, Getty maintained a 3.91 GPA. Earning her degree in business systems and analytics, Zholdakova finished with a 3.59 cumulative GPA. Also studying business systems and analytics, Kliimand holds a 3.77 cumulative GPA. Majoring in psychological science, Sokolovic owns a perfect 4.00 GPA.
The Bruins reached the MVC Championship semifinals for the third consecutive year this past spring.
