NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Women's Cross Country returns to action Friday morning for the Missouri Valley Conference Championships held at A.H. Blank Golf Course in Des Moines, Iowa.
In the MVC's Pre-Championship Poll, Belmont is predicted to place 5th, giving the team a fighting chance at a top-3 spot.
The Bruins have a depth of talented scorers this season, but key runners to watch include sophomore Sophie Nicholls and freshman Isabella Harte. The duo have placed top-2 for Belmont in every race this season, with Nicholls leading the pack in Huntsville and Tuscaloosa, and Harte taking the top spot in South Bend.
The team has recorded a solid season, finishing 11th at the Southern Showcase, and  9th at the University of Alabama's Crimson Classic.
Fans can stay informed by following the team's social media accounts (@belmontxctf) and via the online live results page. Official results will be posted following the competition. The women's 6K starts at 10:30 a.m. CT, with the men's 8K to follow at 11:30 a.m. The awards ceremony will follow both races.Â
