Popiol and Pacheco Advance in Doubles at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The doubles tandem of junior Jessica Popiol and graduate Isabel Pacheco highlighted the Belmont University women's tennis team's second day of play at the 2026 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Ohio Valley Regional Championships in Cincinnati, Ohio. The duo advanced to the round of 32 after winning its opening round match Friday afternoon at the University of Cincinnati.
 
Popiol and Pacheco defeated the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga's Emma Pedretti and Addison Iacono 8-6 in the round of 64. On Saturday, the pair will take on Indiana's Chase Boyer and Gabby Gregg in the second round. First serve is slated for 8 a.m. CT/9 a.m. ET from Cincinnati's Trabert-Talbert Tennis Center.
 
Sophomore Emmi Kolyszko and junior Savannah Webster were also in action Friday but were unable to upend their first-round opponents in the main draw of both singles and doubles.
 
Kolyszko and Webster will play in the consolation bracket in singles and doubles beginning Saturday.
