NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont men's golf team kicks off their 2026 spring season this Monday and Tuesday at the Gulf Coast Interollegiate held in Algiers, LouisianaÂ
WHAT'S BRUINÂ
- During the fall season. the Bruins earned three top-five finishes in six events, with a fall best third place finish at Ball State. Â
- The Bruins were picked fifth in the MVC Preseason Poll. Southern Illinois and Illinois State were selected as the top-two teams in the poll of the league's coaches.Â
- Junior Chris Harpum leads the team in scoring with a 72.2 average.  He had two top-20 finishes in the fall, including a tie for 16th at The Scrappy at Cobblestone.  Â
- Senior Conner Brown and freshman Charlie Spiller are tied for second in scoring with a 72.6 average.   Brown has two top-10 finishes, while Spiller has one top-20 showing.Â
The Gulf Coast Intercollegiate, hosted by New Orleans, is a two-day, 54-hole event, with 36 holes contested Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.  It will be held at English Turn Golf and Country Club in Algiers, Louisiana, which will play to a par 72 and a length of 6,924 yards.  The course served as the home of the PGA Tour event in New Orleans from 1988-2004 and in 2006.  Â
The tournament field features 15 teams and includes the likes of host New Orleans, Bellarmine, Central Arkansas, Loyola -Chicago, St. John's, Tennessee Tech, and one other MVC team, Murray State.  Â
