NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont University Softball team (36–11, 21–5 MVC) used a late offensive push to secure a 3–1 victory over Saint Louis in game one of its final home weekend at E.S. Rose Park.Â
VS Saint Louis - Game 1 (3-1)
After a scoreless battle through five innings, Saint Louis broke through in the top of the sixth to take a 1–0 lead. The Bruins responded immediately in the bottom half with a decisive rally.Â
Ella Bertucci sparked the inning with a leadoff single, followed by a walk from Emily Konz, who later stole second to move into scoring position. With two outs, Madison Dolecki delivered the clutch hit—a two-RBI double to left field—scoring both Bertucci and Konz to give Belmont a 2–1 lead.Â
Konz's stolen base was her 24th, leading the MVC.
Lydia Vanderwoude added insurance with an RBI single to center, extending the advantage to 3–1.Â
Maya Johnson was dominant once again, tossing a complete game while allowing just one run on two hits and striking out 13. The win marked her 25th of the season.Â

Belmont continues its final home series against Saint Louis on Saturday, May 2 at 1 p.m. CT at E.S. Rose Park. The Bruins will also celebrate Senior Day as they honor their graduating class.Â
