Men's Basketball Welcomes Kayden Fish

Former Iowa State & Ball State Forward Brings Versatility

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's basketball head coach Evan Bradds announced Monday the signing of Kayden Fish to play basketball for the Bruins, starting with summer 2026 enrollment.

"Kayden has many qualities we were looking for in a frontcourt addition," Bradds said. "He has positional versatility, strength, athleticism to impact the game on both ends of the floor, and tremendous experience in the Big 12 Conference and Mid-American Conference. But most importantly, Kayden brings a spirit, passion and determination to win. Our coaching staff is excited to get him on the court."

This past season, the 6-6 forward averaged 7.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 0.7 steals per game at Ball State. Fish had nine double-figure scoring games, including a season-high 17 points at Louisiana-Monroe.

He had a near double-double vs. South Dakota State and scored double figures vs Miami (OH) and Toledo. The forward also recorded a season-high four steals at Campbell.

Fish played two seasons at Iowa State, which included a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances and a Big 12 Tournament championship.

A native of Kansas City, Missouri, Fish was a heralded four-star recruit and 1,000-point scorer at Staley High School, leading the Falcons to a 24-2 record as a senior.

Fish also led MOKAN Elite EYBL to the AAU Peach Jam championship.

Belmont University men's basketball has been a postseason fixture for the last two decades, including nine berths to the NCAA Tournament.
