Recorded first win of the season against Eastern Kentucky (3/9)...Pitched his third career complete game at SIUE (3/29)... Struck out a seson-high nine at SIUE, allowing no earned runs (3/29)... Earned OVCPitcher of the Week honors the week of April 2... Struck out nine against No. 25 Tennessee Tech (5/4).

2017: Received the starting nod on Opening Day, retiring nine batters in five innings of work... Shutdown a powerful Missouri State (2/23) offense allowing just two runs in six innings while delivering nine Ks for his second consecutive game... Tossed  7.2 innings in the OVC opener against EKU (3/10)... Struck out a career-best 11 batters against Morehead State (3/17)... Tossed a complete game in the series opener against Eastern Illinois (4/13), only allowing one run on four hits and retiring 23 of the first 27 batters he faced... Logged 8.0 frames against Austin Peay (5/25) in the OVC Tournament to help BU avoid elimination, striking out nine batters. 

2016: Recorded saves against Western Michigan (2/26) and Army (2/28) ... Pitched 4.2 innings in relief and earned his second victory of the season against Youngstown State (3/4) ... Appeared in first game as a starter against NIU (3/13) ... Started against EKU and pitched seven innings while striking out nine (3/20) ... Appeared in his third start on the mound at Morehead State when he lasted 6.1 innings, striking out six (3/26) ... Registered his third win of the year with a seven inning performance against UT Martin when he struck out six (4/3) ... Named adidas® OVC Baseball Pitcher of the Week after notching his first ever complete game shutout at SIUE (4/9) ... Quality start vs. Austin Peay, 6 innnings 2 ER (4/17) ... Named TSWA Pitcher of the Week (4/27) after an eight inning, one run performance at EIU ... After making six appearances out of the bullpen to open the year while rehabbing from an injury, Vaughn posted a team-best 7-3 record with a team-best 3.67 ERA over 11 starts … He recorded 76 strikeouts in 83.1 innings pitched … Logged at least 5.2 innings pitched in his final 10 starts … Vaughn went 5-3 with a 3.34 ERA in conference games.

2015: Finished with a 3-2 record and a 5.36 ERA on the bump for the Bruins ... Started eight games and compiled 16 appearances ... His 47 strikeouts ranked him fifth on the squad.

Prior to Belmont: 4-time all-conference… 3-time All-South.. Southern Illinois Player of the year 2014.. Tyler ended his 2014 season with a .474 batting average and .71 ERA.
