Declan Dillon joins the Belmont Basketball program in 2026-27 as a player development coach.
 
Dillon will focus on practice plan execution, video breakdown through Synergy Sports, player development, game preparation and a variety of other coaching staff needs.
 
A native of Peoria, Illinois, Dillon was a four-year letterwinner at Winona State. The guard led Winona State in assists as a senior in 2023-24.

Dillon spent the last two seasons as a graduate assistant at SIUE. He made 33 game appearance for the Cougars and was part of the 2025 OVC Championship and NCAA Tournament team.

He was a graduate assistant coach for SIUE in 2025-26, earning his master's degree in kinesiology and exercise science.
 
Dillon was also a decorated prep soccer player, part of the Peoria Notre Dame team that was ranked No. 6 nationally.
 
Dillon is the older brother of Belmont forward, Eoin. His twin brother, Connor, played at Winona State and Bradley.
