Robert DeWitt is entering his second season as a part of the Belmont men's soccer staff, as head coach David Costa announced the addition of DeWitt to the Bruin staff as a graduate manager and director of operations on July 23, 2019.
In his first season at Belmont in 2019, the Bruins finished with a 5-12-2 (1-4-1 SoCon) record and their first-ever appearance in the tournament semifinal.
As a previous player under Costa at Xavier, DeWitt tallied Big East All-Academic Team selections in each of his four years as a Musketeer.
"During his playing career at Xavier, Robert was a model of hard work and character. He was committed to making the people around him better every day," Costa said. "When I accepted the position at Belmont, he was someone I knew that I wanted to work with."
The Kansas native will manage day-to-day operations for several functions of the program, including community service, academics, equipment, team travel and camps. He earned his Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from Xavier in 2019 and is currently pursuing his Master's in Sport Administration at Belmont. Dewitt also has vast experience working at various ID Camps across the country.
DeWitt coaches club locally in Nashville, Tenn. and is in the process of completing his United States Soccer Federation 'D' Coaching License.
