Hailing originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, Vieira embarked on his journey to the United States to pursue his higher education and compete at Lipscomb University. Vieira was a four-year letter winner at Lipscomb where he earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. In 2015 Vieria was selected to the ASUN Academic All-American Team.

Before earning his master’s degree in teaching from Lipscomb, Vieria attended ministry school for a year in California.

Vieira worked under Head Coach Kelsey Fenix Cameron at Trevecca Nazarene University in 2022 earning a 9-6-4 record. Prior to his time with Trojans, Vieira was a volunteer assistant coach at Lipscomb University and helped coach the men’s program to their 2021 Atlantic Sun regular season and tournament championship in 2021.

The Belmont community is excited to welcome Vieira and his wife Layne. Vieira is also joined by his immediate family who moved to Nashville last year.
