Mary Mancin

Belmont women’s soccer head coach Heather Henson announced the addition of Mary Mancin to the program’s staff as an assistant coach in February 2015.  She will be work directly with the Bruin goalkeepers.

Mancin joins the Bruin staff after two years as a graduate assistant at Columbus State.

“I am thrilled to have Mary join our staff,” Henson said.  “Mary will compliment Travis and I well, blending new energy and her goalkeeping experience.  Her knowledge and playing experience in the NCAA Tournament will be a great benefit to our program.”

Mancin began her coaching career after a four-year stint as a goalkeeper for CSU.  During her time as a player, Mancin played in 71 matches in net.

Overall, she posted a 43-8-6 mark for Columbus State.  Her 43 victories are the second most recorded by a Lady Cougar goalkeeper.  She also ranks second on the all-time list in saves (176) and shutouts (16) and third in save percentage (.842) and goals against average (0.60).   In 2011, Mancin recorded nine shutouts, the most ever by a CSU player and the eighth most in Peach Belt Conference history.

Mancin was selected to the Daktronics NCAA All-Southeast Region team and Scholar All-Region in 2010 and 2011 while being named to the All-Peachbelt Conference First Team and All-Region First Team as a senior (2012).

In addition, Mancin currently holds her USSF “C” coaching license.

A Gainesville, Ga. native, Mancin currently resides in Nashville.
