Travis Fravel begins his eighth season with Belmont University women's soccer in 2018. He was elevated to Associate Head Coach before the 2017 season. Fravel serves as the Belmont recruiting coordinator, in addition to assuming other coaching, training and scouting roles.

During the 2015 and 2016 campaigns Fravel oversaw one of Belmont’s best keepers in Canada native Stephanie Bukovec. During her two-year career at BU, Fravel helped form Bukovec into one of the conference's top goal protectors. During her senior season Bukovec shut out five consecutive conference opponents, logging more than 530 scoreless minutes. Bukovec received postseason OVC accolades both years under Fravel’s tutelage.

After three years at the helm of the men’s program at Division III Emory & Henry College in Emory, Va., Fravel joined the Bruins in 2011 and made an immediate impact. He also served as the coach and technical director for the Fusion Soccer Club (previously the Highlands Heat Soccer Club) from 2002-11.

“I am very excited with the addition of Travis to our Belmont coaching staff,” Henson said. “I feel his knowledge and experience of being a head coach as well as his energy will truly benefit the development of our team. He is a great addition to Belmont University and our soccer family.”

Fravel served as assistant coach of both the men’s and women’s soccer programs at Emory & Henry from 2005-08. He also spent a combined four years on the coaching staffs of the girls' and boys' teams at Abingdon (Virginia) High School, culminating his career with District Coach of the Year honors.

He also brings a wealth of camp and training experience to the Bruins. Annually since 2007, he has worked with elite soccer camps and academies in North Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee, most recently with the Tennessee Soccer Club. Fravel serves as coach of the high school-aged girls' team for Tennessee Soccer Club, having led the team to state and regional (SRPL) championships. He also served on the ODP Region III coaching staff in 2017.

He was a member of the Emory & Henry men’s soccer team from 2001-04, leading the team in scoring in 2002. In his final season with the program, Fravel served as team captain.

Fravel has earned his NSCAA National Diploma and his state Goalkeeping Diploma.

A native of Woodstock, Va., Fravel currently resides in Franklin, Tenn., with his fiancé Kelly and their two children, daughter Kynslee (4) and son Koben (1).
