Recorded 32 service aces (0.26/set) ... Registered a season-most in both kills (20) and assists (4) in the season opener against Memphis (8/30) ... Sophomore (2012): Played and started all 35 games... Finished the season with 270 kills (2.11/set), 34 assists (0.27/set), 12 service aces (0.09/set), 375 digs (2.93/set)... Also posted 34 blocks (0.27/set)... Registered a career-high 22 kills at Evansville... Recorded a season-high 22 digs at SEMO.
Freshman (2011): Selected to Atlantic Sun All-Conference Team… Played in thirty matches, starting 29… Finished the season with 180 kills (1.62/set), 33 service aces (0.30/set), and 308 digs (2.77/set; fourth on the team)… Also posted 27 blocks... Ranked 6th in the conference in aces and 3rd in conference matches…Those marks were second among conference freshmen… Ranked 17th in the A-Sun in digs; 1st among conference freshmen… Had season-high six aces, all consecutive, against USC Upstate (10/1)…Turned in season-high 29 digs against Sacramento State...Played every set this season.
Prior to Belmont: As a senior at Munford High School, led team in kills and digs… Played for head coaches Mike Anderson and Nina Makris while at Munford HS… Graduated in top 10 percent of class, was on the honor roll all four years of high school.
Personal: Born Scarlet Leigh Gable on January 17, 1993, in San Diego, Calif. Daughter of Phillip and Bonnie Gable…Has three siblings---Savannah (17), Cecily (14) and Sam (10)… Father is in the Navy… Second cousin Jenny Simmons is lead singer of Addison Road… Has three former teammates playing collegiately… Enjoys watching movies, swimming and playing disc golf… Plans to major in nursing.
