NASHVILLE, Tenn.-- Belmont heads east to take on USC Upstate and
East Tennessee State in two conference matches this weekend. The
Bruins face Upstate on Friday at 6 p.m. and take on ETSU
at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Belmont comes into the weekend at 7-12 and holding a 1-1
conference record. The Bruins fell to Kennesaw State in the opening
match of conference play and then defeated Mercer the following
day.
Against USC Upstate, Belmont holds a spotless 5-0 record. The
Bruins are 6-2 against ETSU all-time, and split the series with the
Buccaneers last season.
USC Upstate is 6-10 on the season, and like Belmont, 1-1 in the
Atlantic Sun. ETSU has started the season strong at 15-5 and 1-0 in
conference play.
The next action for the Bruins will be next Friday night, Oct.
15, when they meet Campbell in a 6:30 pm match in the Curb Event
Center.
