NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Belmont University volleyball head coach Fritz Rosenberg announced Wednesday the signing of Team IMPACT player Charlotte Field to a national letter of intent to join the Bruin program.Â
Field, a six-year-old from Cedar Hill, Tenn., will sign alongside her sister, Madelyn, officially joining the Bruins during a Team IMPACT signing ceremony taking place this afternoon.Â
Field joins Belmont in partnership with Team IMPACT, a national nonprofit organization that matches children facing serious illness and disability with college athletic teams to create long-term, life-changing relationships.Â
Charlotte has been diagnosed with ependymoma, a rare brain and spinal cord tumor that develops from ependymal cells lining the fluid-filled spaces of the central nervous system. She underwent brain surgery and radiation treatment in 2022 and is currently off treatment. Charlotte also has right-sided deafness.Â
Despite her medical journey, Charlotte's personality shines through in everything she does. She loves coloring, kids yoga, animals, spending time outdoors, being in the water, signing, dancing, riding rollercoasters, and attending Monster Jam events. Her favorite music includes Jelly Roll, Shaboozey, and the The Descendants Soundtrack.Â
Her favorite foods are Chick-fil-A, tacos, pizza, and donuts, and her favorite colors are pink and purple. At home, Charlotte enjoys spending time with her four dogs, chickens, and goats.Â
Charlotte shares this commitment to Belmont with her parents, Katie and Craig Field, and her older sister, Madelyn.Â
Several Belmont programs have partnered with Team IMPACT, reinforcing the University's commitment to building meaningful relationships beyond competition.Â
