HIXSON, Tenn. – The Belmont women's tennis team fell to the homestanding Chattanooga Lady Mocs 6-1 in a match held Saturday at the Hixson Racquet Club in Hixson, Tennessee.
The Lady Mocs won the first point of the match as they captured two of the three doubles matches. Belmont won at number three as sophomores Catherine Holliday and Natalia Nunes beat Annie Green and Garce Robinette 8-6.
In singles, Chattanooga won five of the six singles matches to clinch the match victory 6-1. The lone win for the Bruins came at number six as Natalia Nunes defeated Charlotte Bossy 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (10-8).
Belmont (0-2) returns to action this Friday as they play at Samford beginning at 4:00pm.
