BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Belmont women's tennis team lost to UAB 6-0 in a match played indoors Saturday morning in Birmingham, Alabama.
In a match that only featured singles play, the home standing Blazers posted wins in all six matches. Five of the six matches were straight set victories for UAB except at the number six position. In that match, BU's Laura Stack won the first set 6-3, but UAB's Brittany DeFelice came back and won the second set 6-3 and then the third set super-tiebreaker 10-8.
Belmont (0-4) returns to the court next Saturday (2/12) at home as they host North Alabama indoors at the Wildwood Tennis Club. The match is set to begin at 5:00pm.
