Men's Basketball Hosts Florida Gulf Coast Monday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont men's basketball returns to action Monday night against Florida Gulf Coast.

The Bruins shot 54 percent from the field and forced 19 turnovers in defeating Stetson, 84-71, Saturday. Senior Mick Hedgepeth scored a career-high 24 points and added seven rebounds in the victory.

This marks the eighth meeting between Belmont and FGCU, with the Bruins holding a 5-2 series edge. Belmont won both games last season.

Belmont has made 42 three-point field goals in four career games against FGCU at the Curb Event Center. FGCU holds two opposing team Curb Event Center records: assists (21, 2/2/08) and turnovers (29, 1/28/11). Eight of FGCU's 14 roster members will be playing Belmont for the first time Monday.

Belmont junior Trevor Noack scored a career-high 12 points at FGCU (1/3/11).
