Men's Basketball Hosts North Florida Monday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont men's basketball completes a two-game homestand Monday against North Florida.

Belmont used a strong second half to defeat Jacksonville, 85-71, Jan. 28. Junior Kerron Johnson (Huntsville, Ala.) tallied 21 points and six assists while sophomore Blake Jenkins (Knoxville, Tenn.) scored a career-high 18 points in the victory.

The Bruins committed six turnovers at North Florida (1/2/12) - one of five games this season the team has committed single-figure turnovers. Belmont committed a program-low two turnovers vs. Towson (11/19/11).

Belmont is averaging 84.0 points per game in six career games against North Florida at the Curb Event Center.

This marks the 14th meeting between Belmont and North Florida, with the Bruins holding a 12-1 series lead. Belmont won 83-53 in Jacksonville Jan. 2.

Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. CT from the Curb Event Center.
