JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - - Belmont men's basketball completes a two-game road swing to the First Coast of Florida Wednesday at Jacksonville.
Belmont made 31 field goals - including nine three-pointers - and committed just six turnovers in defeating North Florida, 83-53, Monday. Senior Scott Saunders was named Atlantic Sun Player of the Week Tuesday, after averaging 19.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game in victories over Marshall and North Florida.
Saunders recorded double-doubles in both meetings against Jacksonville last season (13 points, 12 rebounds vs. Jacksonville, 1/10/11; 11 points, 11 rebounds at Jacksonville, 2/3/11).
The Bruins lead the Atlantic Sun in seven statistical categories, including assists per game and assist-to-turnover ratio.
