Men's Basketball Hosts Lipscomb Friday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont men's basketball returns home to host Lipscomb Friday.

Belmont limited Jacksonville to 20 percent shooting in the first half en route to a 75-63 victory Wednesday. Senior Drew Hanlen (St. Louis, Mo.) continued his fine play with a career-high 19 points.

Belmont has won 26 of its last 27 games against teams from the Atlantic Sun Conference, dating back to the start of the 2010-11 season. The lone loss was at Lipscomb, Jan. 25, 2011, by the score of 73-64.

Two storied programs, Belmont and Lipscomb men's basketball have a combined five members in the NAIA Hall of Fame (Belmont: Rick Byrd, Joe Behling; Lipscomb: Don Meyer, Philip Hutcheson, John Pierce).

This marks the 129th meeting between Belmont and Lipscomb. Belmont is 9-8 versus Lipscomb in its NCAA era. The teams split the season series a year ago.
