NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont men's basketball returns home to face East Tennessee State Saturday, as part of Homecoming 2012.
Belmont scored its most points against a Division I opponent in 11 years in defeating Stetson, 106-93, Feb. 13. Junior Ian Clark (Memphis, Tenn.) scored a team-high 23 points, all in the second half. Clark is averaging 15.8 points per game in five career games against ETSU.
Over its last seven games, Belmont is averaging 88.6 points per game on 53.4 percent shooting, with six players averaging double figure scoring.
Junior Adam Barnes (Clarksville, Tenn.) recorded career-highs in points (12) and rebounds (5) at ETSU (1/23/12).
Belmont is 5-1 against ETSU at the Curb Event Center, including a 68-58 victory last season.
This marks the 22nd meeting between Belmont and ETSU. The Bruins hold a 13-8 series lead, which includes an 82-70 victory earlier this season in Johnson City.
