NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont men's basketball hosts USC Upstate Monday in the regular season home finale.
Belmont led from start to finish in defeating ETSU, 80-58, Saturday. Junior Ian Clark (Memphis, Tenn.) paced five Bruins in double figures with 18 points, while sophomore Blake Jenkins (Knoxville, Tenn.) recorded his first career double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Over its last eight games, Belmont is averaging 87.5 points per game on 52.7 percent shooting, with six players averaging double figure scoring. In Atlantic Sun Conference games, Belmont is averaging a halftime lead of 12.9 points per game: 41.9 to 29.0.
Junior Trevor Noack (Keller, Texas) scored a season-high eight points at USC Upstate (1/21/12).
Jenkins and USC Upstate freshman Ty Greene both attended Bearden High School in Knoxville, Tenn.
Monday marks the final Atlantic Sun Conference home game for Belmont. The Bruins are 74-12 in Atlantic Sun Conference games at the Curb Event Center.
This marks the 10th meeting between Belmont and USC Upstate. The Bruins hold an 8-1 series lead. The Spartans claimed a 79-78 victory Jan. 21 in Spartanburg.
