NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Belmont (2-16) scored a season high 11 runs on 10 hits in the home opener against Alabama A&M Saturday at Rose Park. The Bruins picked up their second win of the season in the first half of Saturday's double header.
Belmont got offensive production from the entire line-up, led by a senior Amanda Buntin's first home run of the season. The Bruins were also error free through five innings of play as sophomore Mia Vierra picked up her first win of the season with a solid pitching effort.
