Men's Tennis Falls to #61 UAB 5-2

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The Belmont men's tennis team fell to #61 UAB 5-2 in a match played Saturday in Birmingham, Alabama.

The Blazers took the first point of the match as they swept all three doubles matches.  In singles, UAB continued their strong play as they captured four of the six matches to clinch the victory over the Bruins.  The lone Belmont win came at #2 as junior Henrique Norbiato defeated David Zimmerman in three sets: 6-4, 2-6, 7-6.

Belmont (2-8) returns to action on Wednesday as they host Tennessee Tech in their home opener at 2:00pm at Centennial Sportsplex.
