Men's Tennis Falls to #68 MTSU 5-2

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- The Belmont men's tennis team fell to #68 MTSU 5-2 in a match played Monday in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.  The match was finished on Monday after it was halted due to weather last Thursday.  

The Bruins won the first point of the match as they captured two doubles matches.  At number one, Renato Antun and Rafael Matos beat Yannick Born and Marion Brand 8-5.  While at the number two position, Henrique Norbiato and Rodrigo Amaral defeated Ben Davis and Christoph Lang 8-5.  

In singles, the nationally ranked Blue Raiders stormed back, winning five of the six matches to clinch the 5-2 match win.  The lone Belmont win came number four as Fernando Mussolini beat Ettore Zito 7-6, 6-2.

Belmont (4-9) returns to the court on Friday as they play at Mercer.
