Men's Tennis Falls to Stetson 4-3

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Belmont men's tennis team lost to Stetson 4-3 in an Atlantic Sun Conference match held Friday afternoon in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Hatters picked up the first point of the match as they won two of the three doubles matches.  BU did win at number three as Fernando Mussolini and Bruno Silva defeated Didrik Berg and Nathan Debut 8-3.  

In singles, the Bruins rallied, winning three matches, but the Hatters were too tough and won at positions one, three, and six to clinch the 4-3 win.  Belmont's wins came at positions two, four and five.  At two, Henrique Norbiato beat Njal Stene 4-6, 6-4, 6-3.  At four, Fernando Mussolini defeated Hans Adrian Riseng 6-3, 6-2, while at number five Rafael Matos beat Nathan Debut 2-6, 6-1, 6-4.

Belmont (7-13, 4-4) returns to the court tomorrow morning as they face FGCU in their season finale.  The match begins at 9:00am.
