NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Belmont women's basketball takes aim for its fourth win of the season with a midday pre-Thanksgiving dual on Wednesday. The Bruins (3-4) face off against former conference rival Georgia State (0-5) beginning at Noon in Atlanta.
The Panthers have yet to place one in the win column as the 2013-14 campaign begins, standing at 0-5. Four times this season, GSU has had second-half leads but have been unable to hold those leads and dropped all four of those games. They have lost leads of 13, 12 and 14 points in the last three games, respectively.
Georgia State is led in scoring by Kendra Long, who is averaging 13.6 points per game. Brittany Logan leads the team in rebounds, grabbing 7.8 per contest.

BU dropped in 42 at the half as Molly Ernst (Louisville, Ky.) knocked down a career-best seven three pointers en route to scoring 23 points. Torie Vaught (Maryville, Tenn.) drilled seven field goals to net a career-best 17 points in the win.
BU snapped a three-game skid with an 84-60 defeat of visiting Kent State over the weekend. Junior Katie Carroll (Lilburn, Ga.) led the Bruins with career-high 15 points, including four three pointers. Redshirt Frankie Joubran (Detroit, Mich.) pulled down a career and game-high 12 rebounds and was one point shy of her first double-double with nine points. Sophomore Blair Bryce (Red Oak, Texas) grabbed 10 boards in the win. She also knocked down a career and game-high three blocks. Junior Adrienne Tarrence (Bowling Green, Ky.) collected a game-high seven assists.
The Bruins are led in scoring and rebounds by junior Jordyn Luffman (Lawrenceburg, Tenn.), who is averaging 14.1 points and 8.1 boards per outing. Tarrence leads the team in assists with a total of 29 while Bryce heads BU in blocks with seven in her tally.
Several Bruins are nationally ranked this week – Luffman stands 17th in double doubles with a total of 3, 72nd in free-throw percentage and 200th in rebounds per game, Tarrence is ranked 168th in assists per game and 213th in assist-to-turnover ratio, while Bryce is 242nd in blocks.
