COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- The Belmont men's tennis team fell to 0-2 in the OVC as they dropped a 5-2 decision at Tennessee Tech on Sunday afternoon in Cookeville, Tennessee.
The Golden Eagles won the first point of the match as they captured two of the three doubles matches. The Bruins did win at number three as Silva/Claesson beat Cintas and Santa 8-2.
In singles, TTU picked up wins at positions one, two, four, and six to clinch the 5-2 match victory. Belmont posted wins at positions three and five. At number three, senior Fernando Mussolini defeated Alvaro Cintas, while at number five, Bruno Silva beat Alturo Santa.
Belmont (1-9, 0-2) returns to action next weekend with matches at Morehead State and Eastern Kentucky.
