NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont women's basketball team will wrap its two-game homestand on Monday night at the Curb Event Center. The Bruins (7-14, 4-4 OVC) will host Morehead State (9-11, 3-4 OVC) beginning at 6 p.m.
Morehead State will wrap its stay in Music City on Monday night after falling to Tennessee State over the weekend, 87-70. The Eagles stand a 3-4 in the OVC and have a 9-11 record overall, having dropped four of their last five contests.
MSU has two players averaging in double digits – Terrice Robinson with 17.7 and Almesha Jones with 12.4 points per outing. The team has a trio leading in rebounds – Jones, Mackenzie Arledge and Casey Ryans, who are grabbing 4.5, 4.2 and 4.1 rebounds per contest respectively.
Belmont leads the all-time series, 4-2, and has won the last three matchups, including a sweep last season.
The Bruins are looking to bounce back from their second-straight loss, after falling to Eastern Kentucky on Saturday.
Junior Jordyn Luffman (Lawrenceburg, Tenn.) leads the Bruins in scoring, averaging 14.7 points, and rebounds, pulling down 7.0 per outing. Junior Adrienne Tarrence (Bowling Green, Ky.) leads the team in assists with a total of 83. Freshman Lauren Thompson (Franklin, Tenn.) leads BU in blocks with 13.
