Denver Game Notes

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's basketball continues play Wednesday versus Denver.

The Bruins defeated Lipscomb, 82-77, Monday night. Junior Craig Bradshaw (Ridgetop, Tenn.) scored a career-high 29 points, while senior Reece Chamberlain (Goodlettsville, Tenn.) added 13 points, 11 rebounds, six assists and five steals.

Belmont head coach Rick Byrd and Denver head coach Joe Scott have coached against each other before this series. The Bruins and Scott's Air Force team played a home and home series during the 2002-03 and 2003-04 seasons, with each winning at home. The Bruins won 46-38 in Nashville, Nov. 30, 2003. Belmont went 21-9 that season, defeated nationally-ranked Missouri, and earned a berth in the Postseason NIT, while the Falcons ended the 2003-04 regular season ranked No. 25, earning a No. 11 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Belmont and Denver annually rank among the highest Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores recorded in men's basketball.

Belmont is 5-3 lifetime against current members of the Summit League.

This marks the second meeting between Belmont and Denver. The Pioneers won at home last December.

Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. CT from the Curb Event Center.
