NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's basketball returns to game action Saturday at Ohio.
The Bruins defeated Denver, 78-57, Wednesday. Junior Craig Bradshaw (Ridgetop, Tenn.) and sophomore Taylor Barnette (Lexington, Ky.) combined to score 49 points.
Belmont sophomore forward Evan Bradds is a native of Jamestown, Ohio. Bradds originally committed to Ohio, but decommitted upon John Groce's departure for the University of Illinois.
Belmont is 3-2 lifetime against current members of the Mid-American Conference (1-0 Bowling Green, Miami (OH) 1-1, Northern Illinois 0-1, 1-0 Ohio).
Ohio University head volleyball coach Deane Webb held the same position at Belmont from 2003-2013. Webb directed Belmont to three NCAA Tournament appearances (2006, 2008, 2012).
Ohio University made its 2012 NCAA Tournament run to the Sweet 16 through Nashville and Bridgestone Arena.
This marks the second meeting between Belmont and Ohio. The Bruins won Feb. 23, 2013 at home in the ESPN Bracketbusters, 81-62.
