NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's basketball returns to game action versus UT Martin Thursday.
The Bruins defeated Austin Peay, 89-83, Jan. 17. Sophomore Evan Bradds (Jamestown, Ohio) scored a team-high 22 points for the Bruins. Bradds leads the nation in field goal percentage (.678).
Belmont and UT Martin are two of the top three teams in the OVC in field goal percentage, free throw percentage and assists per game.
Belmont's Craig Bradshaw (Ridgetop, Tenn.)leads the OVC in scoring and while UT Martin's Deville Smith leads the league in minutes per game.
Belmont and UT Martin each played Butler at Hinkle Fieldhouse in December.
This marks the 35th meeting between Belmont and UT Martin, third of the Bruins' NCAA era, and third in OVC play. Belmont has won the last two meetings, including 87-72 last season in Martin.
