BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Belmont men's tennis team fell to UAB 4-1 in a non-conference match held Sunday afternoon indoors at Lakeshore Tennis Center in Birmingham.
The Blazers took an early 1-0 lead as the captured two of the three doubles matches. The match at number one was unfinished since the doubles point has been determined.
UAB clinched the match victory as they posted wins at positions three, five, and six. Belmont did get a win at number four as
Robin Demasse beat Luiz Felipe Pinto in three sets: 2-6, 7-5, and 10-3. The matches at positions one and two were unfinished since the match result had been determined.
Belmont (5-5) returns to the court this Friday as they host Ball State at 2:00pm at Centennial Sportsplex.
