NASHVILLE, Tenn.-- The Bruins will host the Morehead State Eagles in a three game series starting on Friday. Morehead State opens up the Belmont Bruins first home conference series of the 2015 season.

The Bruins enter the weekend 9-8 and 2-0 in the Ohio Valley Conference. Belmont enters the weekend after a 8-2 win over local rival, Middle Tennessee State University. Leading at the plate for the Bruins is Senior Matt Beaty (Dresden, Tenn.) who has been breaking one career record after another. Beaty is currently batting .380 with 4 homeruns 10 doubles and 2 triples. Beaty has drawn 10 walks and is 4-5 on stolen bases for the season. Just behind Beaty is junior Tyler Fullerton (Murfressboro, Tenn.) who is batting .322 with 17 RBI, 8 doubles, a triple and 2 homeruns.
Morehead State has an overall record of 11-7 and 3-3 in the Ohio Valley Conference. They enter the weekend after a 7-1 mid-week win over Marshall. For the Morehead State Eagles, leading at the plate is Chris Robinson with a .371 batting average. He has 23 hits and 17 RBI. He leads the team with 5 stolen bases in 6 attempts. Senior, Kane Sweeney is batting .338 for the Eagles and leads the team with 4 homeruns and 14 RBI.
