RICHMOND, Ky. – The Belmont men's tennis lost their second straight match as they fell at Eastern Kentucky 5-2 in an OVC match held Saturday afternoon in Richmond, Kentucky.
The Colonels took the doubles point when they captured two of the three matches. Belmont did win at number one as seniors Mauricio Antun and Marko Lovrinovic beat Diogo Soars and Ramon van Flymen 8-4.
Belmont came back in singles and posted wins in the top two positions. Antun won at number one over Alex Alvaro 7-6, 2-6, 10-7. Then, Lovrinovic beat Ramon van Flymen at number two 6-4, 6-4. However, EKU came back and clinched the 5-2 victory by winning at positions three through six.
Belmont (6-7, 1-2) is back in action this Friday as they play at Tennessee Tech.
