NASHVILLE, Tenn.—The Bruins (17-13)will travel todayto Clarksville to face the Austin Peay Governors (17-12) in a three game Ohio Valley Conference series starting on Friday.
The Bruins enter the weekend series after splitting their mid-week contests. Two Bruins recieved honors this past week after another strong week at the plate for two Bruins. Nick Egli (Brentwood, Tenn.) was named Louisville Slugger National Player of the week after scoring 11 RBI against Lipscomb. Senior Drew Ferguson (Knoxville, Tenn.) was named OVC Player of the week and College Sports Madness Ohio Valley Player of the Week after batting .550 on the week with 10 RBI, 11 runs and went 5-5 in stolen bases.
The Bruins continue to hold rankings in the NCAA leading in five categories including Slugging percentage (0.541), doubles per game (2.80), home runs per game (1.50), scoring (8.9), on-base percentage (0.419).
