The Bruins (22-21, 10-10 OVC) enter the weekend after a huge midweek win against No. [6/10] Vanderbilt. Patrick McGrath and Matthew Kinney combined for a 4 hitter and the 4-1 win and save over the Commodores.
Murray State (14-32, 9-12 OVC) enters the weekend after a mid-week non-conference loss to UT Martin. They are looking to pick up an OVC win after dropping two series. The Racers hold the No. 8 spot in conference. Leading at the plate for the Racers is Brock Downey who has improved his batting average to .333. Tyler Lawrenece is the only Raver to have played and started in all 46 of their games. He leads the team with 30 RBI on 44 hits and 6 home runs.
